NVC Guide App now in the App Store and Google Play!

I created React Native app that walks people through the steps of Nonviolent Communication!

Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a communication model developed by psychologist Marshall Rosenberg. NVC emphasizes empathetic listening, mutual respect, and clear communication as essential components of effective and peaceful communication. The approach is based on the idea that all humans share fundamental needs and that conflicts arise when those needs are not being met. By identifying and addressing those needs, individuals can better understand and communicate with one another, leading to more harmonious relationships and outcomes.

To support individuals in practicing NVC, I developed the NVC Guide app. For conflicts, this app will walk you through the four key parts: observation, emotion, need, and request. These four key steps can help create statements that you can use with the person you are in conflict with. Additionally, the app could include features such as a journaling tool for reflecting on conversations and interactions. With the help of an NVC Guide app, individuals could develop the skills to approach communication in a more compassionate, collaborative, and productive way.
